Why Vote Yes?

The best thing we can do for East Valley students and our community is to act now — vote YES in February 2026.

New High School & Middle School

The most immediate need in East Valley is to replace the current middle and high schools, both of which have surpassed their usable lives.
Both projects are designed to support student safety, learning, and growth — giving every student the opportunity to thrive in an environment built for today and the future.
A new middle school will bring grades 6–8 together under one roof — creating a true middle school experience while reducing overcrowding in elementary schools.
Replacing both schools now, rather than continuing to repair outdated facilities, is the most cost-effective and educationally sound option for East Valley’s long-term success.
A new high school is essential to align with today’s curriculum and technology needs. Current classrooms, science labs, and career training spaces no longer meet modern standards.

Expanded Opportunities

Students deserve spaces that let them learn, create, and perform at their best.
New facilities will provide modern labs, technology, and workspaces that prepare students for college, apprenticeships, and careers in high-demand fields.
The performing arts currently take place in a cafeteria — a temporary solution that doesn’t match the talent or dedication of our students. A true performance facility will give them a meaningful stage and sense of pride.
Updated classrooms will enable the use of current technology and teaching tools, ensuring East Valley students are ready to compete and succeed in the 21st-century economy.
Our Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs are among the strongest in the county — possibly the state — but our current infrastructure limits their growth.

Fiscally Responsible

Building both schools simultaneously while keeping students in their current buildings during construction saves millions compared to doing one at a time.
Every year of delay adds approximately 5% in construction cost inflation — meaning the longer we wait, the more taxpayers will pay for the same results.  Each year we wait means the schools will cost an additional $11 million.
Renting portable classrooms for three years would cost at least $10 million — money better spent on permanent, long-lasting facilities for our students.
This plan is a responsible investment, focused on maximizing every dollar for direct student benefit and long-term community value.
Remodeling is as expensive, if not more expensive, than building new schools — and it wouldn’t fully address the age, design, or capacity issues of our current buildings.

The Time is Now

East Valley can no longer keep fighting to maintain outdated buildings that are costly to operate and increasingly ineffective for modern learning.
Approving the bond now ensures students can learn in safe, efficient, and inspiring spaces sooner rather than later.
Construction costs have risen sharply since the pandemic and will only continue to climb. Acting now prevents the community from paying far more later for the same projects.
Let’s not “kick the can down the road.” The longer we wait, the more expensive and disruptive the solution becomes.
Passing the bond allows East Valley to leverage state construction assistance funds — money that’s only available if the bond passes.
The best thing we can do for East Valley students and our community is to act now — vote YES in February 2026.
